Lesson on traffic rules for cyclists. Presentation - traffic rules for cyclists Presentation of cycling rules

General A bicycle is defined as “a vehicle other than
wheelchair with two or more wheels and
driven by the muscular power of people who are
on it "(SDA 1.2). The cyclist, according to the Rules,
qualifies as a bicycle driver.
A bicycle is a vehicle, but it is not
"Power-driven vehicle". Therefore, if the traffic rules
is written "vehicle", this also applies to
bicycles, and if it says "mechanical transport
means ”, this does not apply to bicycles.
If a person does not ride a bicycle, but rolls it, then he is considered
a pedestrian, not a cyclist (SDA 1.2). Moreover, in the Rules
only one difference is specified for a dismounted cyclist
from a pedestrian: in accordance with clause 4.1 of the SDA "Outside settlements with
pedestrian traffic on the carriageway must go towards
movement of vehicles ", but" Persons ... leading
the bike must follow the direction of traffic
funds ".
Steer your bike while traveling on roads
allowed to persons at least 14 years old (SDA 24.1).

Technical requirements

The bike must have
serviceable brakes, steering wheel and
beep, be
equipped in front
reflector and
flashlight or headlamp (for
traffic in the dark
and in conditions of insufficient
visibility) white,
behind - a reflector
or a red lantern, and
on each side -
retroreflector
orange or red
colors. ("Basic provisions
for the admission of transport
funds for operation ... ", p.
6.)

Motion

Bicycles must move on the cycle path
(SDA 24.3), and in its absence - “only in one row
possibly to the right. " Driving on the side of the road is allowed,
if it does not interfere with pedestrians (SDA 24.2).
The movement of bicycles (like any other transport
funds) on sidewalks and footpaths
prohibited (SDA 9.9), but in practice, cyclists on
the sidewalk is rather condescending.
Columns of cyclists when driving on the carriageway
must be divided into groups of 10 cyclists.
To facilitate overtaking, the distance between groups
should be 80-100 m. (SDA 24.2)
Sign 4.4 "Cycle path"

Prohibitions

Bicycle drivers are prohibited from:
drive without holding the steering wheel with at least one hand (SDA 24.3);
carry passengers, except for a child under the age of 7 years
an additional seat equipped with reliable footrests (SDA
24.3);
carry cargo that protrudes more than 0.5 m in length or
width for dimensions, or cargo that interferes with management (SDA 24.3);
move along the road if there is a cycle path nearby (traffic rules
24.3);
turn left or turn around on roads with tram
traffic and on roads with more than one lane for traffic in
this direction (SDA 24.3);
move on highways (SDA 16.1);
move along the road in the dark (and / or in conditions
insufficient visibility) without the included front white light
("Basic provisions on the admission of vehicles to
operation ... ", p. 6);
towing bicycles, as well as bicycles, except for towing
a trailer intended for use with a bicycle (SDA 24.3).

Crossroads

At intersections, the usual priority rules apply (traffic rules clause 13 and others). So, a car moving along
a secondary road, must give way to a bicycle moving along the main road (SDA 13.9-13.10). On the
at an unregulated intersection of equivalent roads, a roadless vehicle has the advantage,
which there is no interference on the right (SDA 13.11), that is, at such an intersection, a car approaching from the left must
give way to the cyclist.
But at an unregulated intersection of a cycle lane with a road located outside the intersection, drivers
bicycles must give way to all vehicles moving along this road (SDA 24.4).
At regulated intersections, cyclists must obey the signals of special bicycle traffic lights.
(SDA 6.5), and in their absence - signals of ordinary transport traffic lights (not pedestrian).
A car turning to the right must let a cyclist moving next to it along the same
road straight (if there is a cycle path - in accordance with clause 13.1 of the SDA, and in its absence - in accordance with clause 8.4-
8.5 and 8.9 SDA).
Since a left turn is prohibited for a cyclist, including at intersections (SDA 24.3), to carry out
left turn, you need to: a) go straight through the intersection, turn around in the right lane of the intersected road, and
drive straight through the intersection when the traffic signal is allowed; or b) get off the bike and cross the road
on a pedestrian crossing.
When turning, you should also take into account clause 8.6 of the rules:
when leaving the intersection of carriageways, the vehicle was not on the side of oncoming traffic. When
when turning right, the vehicle should move as close as possible to the right edge of the carriageway. "
[edit] Passage of pedestrian crossings
At regulated pedestrian crossings, cyclists must obey bicycle signals or
general transport traffic lights, as well as traffic controllers (traffic rules p. 6).
At unregulated pedestrian crossings, cyclists, like all other drivers, must give way
pedestrians (SDA 14.1). You should also give way to pedestrians going to a tram that stops at a tram stop.
or from it (from the side of the doors), if the tram tracks go along the carriageway (SDA 14.6)
Cyclists are not allowed to cross the road at a pedestrian crossing, nor are they allowed to turn around at
pedestrian crossing (SDA 8.11); in this case, get off the bike and cross the road like a pedestrian.
At pedestrian crossings and closer than 5 m in front of them, stopping and parking are prohibited (SDA 12.4).

Cyclist signals

To indicate a maneuver, the Rules provide
the following signs (SDA 8.1-8.2):
Stop: hand raised up (any).
Turn or change lane to the right: extended right
arm, or extended and bent at the elbow left.
Turn or lane left: extended left
arm, or extended and bent at the elbow right.
However, it is not recommended to use
in alternative ways (where the arm is bent),
since they are designed for motorists.
The left turn signal is also recommended to be given
when bending around a parked at the right edge of the lane
a motor vehicle.
When driving in a group, another sign is used,
intended not for motorists, but for
bike tourists riding behind you.
Pits on the right: right hand lowered down.
Pits on the left: left hand lowered down.
The leader gives the signs first, the members of the group
repeat immediately. Don't wait for you
pass or see a pit, you have to give a sign
immediately behind the next cyclist in front of you.
The leader (or solo cyclist) must
sign in advance so that the group and
motorists had time to react (SDA 8.2).

Road signs related to cyclists

Cyclists directly include
only two road signs:
prescriptive 4.4 "Cycle path".
This and only this sign indicates
bike path; walking along the road
a lane of asphalt not marked with this sign,
should be considered either a roadside, driving on
which cyclists are allowed to, or
sidewalk on which traffic
cyclists are prohibited;
prohibiting 3.9 "Cycling
prohibited".
Sign 4.4
"Bicycle
track"
Sign 3.9
"Traffic on
bicycles
prohibited"

However, the bike driver
must comply with other transport
vehicle signs
at all. In particular, he must turn
attention to information and signs 5.1
"Highway", 5.3 "Road for
cars "and a prescriptive sign
4.5 "Walkway", which
prohibit the movement of bicycles.
Sign 5.1
"Motorway"
Sign 5.3 "Road for
cars "
Sign 4.5 "Pedestrian
track"

Difficult situations

The most difficult situation for a cyclist
is the passage of the place of separation of traffic flows in
the case when he needs to keep straight (Road
markup, p. 1.16.2), since in the Rules this situation
not specifically specified. This is possible, for example, if from
the main road at an acute angle to the right leaves the entrance to
motorway or bridge, etc. Cyclist, according to
The rules are in a contradictory position.
It is forbidden for him to rebuild into the left lane, but also to cross
pedestrian branching traffic to the right
he cannot, because, as a rule, in such places a pedestrian
crossing is prohibited (sometimes - by a sign). Drive in unnecessary
direction and look for a fork that returns to the main
the road is absurd and sometimes impossible. In practice, in such
situations where the traffic is not too intense, the cyclist
gives a turn signal to the left and does not change to the right
row, leaving the split on the right. If movement
intensively, the cyclist dismounts and crosses
such a separation on foot, despite the signs.
Signs 1.8, 1.18 and 1.16.2 road markings

Responsibility for violation of the rules

For traffic violations by cyclists
there is an administrative
responsibility. Administrative
responsibility is a type of legal
responsibility, which is expressed in
application by authorized
government bodies or officials
persons punishing persons who have committed
administrative offense.
Administrative offense -
illegal, guilty act
(inaction) of a physical or legal
a person for whom the legislation on
administrative offenses
established administrative responsibility.

Notes

In particular, this means that the bike rider must:
“Check and en route to ensure good technical condition in accordance with
the requirements of the document "Basic provisions for the admission of vehicles to
Operations and Safety Officers Responsibilities
road traffic "" (SDA 2.3.1),
“Pass, at the request of the police officers, a survey for
Drunk. In established cases, pass the test of knowledge of the Rules and
driving skills "(SDA 2.3.2),
and even "Provide a vehicle: police officers for
transportation of vehicles damaged in accidents, travel to
the place of a natural disaster, as well as police officers, FSB, tax police
in other urgent cases provided for by the current
legislation ”(SDA 2.3.3).
It is prohibited for a cyclist, in particular, to operate a bicycle in a state of
alcoholic intoxication, use mobile phones while driving
and other prohibitions (SDA 2.7).
The Rules in effect until November 17, 2010 had a slightly different wording:
"Only on the extreme right lane in one row, possibly to the right." That is, from November
In 2010, the requirement to move on the far right lane was canceled.
This difficulty is generalized to all cases when the sign
direction of movement in lanes / lane (5.15.1 and 5.15.2) for the far right
lanes prohibit driving straight ahead (when the cyclist needs to go straight),
requiring only a right turn, and at the same time a pedestrian crossing nearby
prohibited.

Slide 2

Let's not forget that a bicycle is also a vehicle. This means that the traffic rules stipulate that the minimum age for driving a bicycle on public roads should be 14 full years.

Slide 3

Therefore, the operator of the bicycle must: check the technical condition of the vehicle, in particular the steering and braking systems.

Slide 4

The bike should only move along the rightmost lane (no further than 1 meter from the curb). It is allowed to drive on sidewalks and pedestrian paths if it does not interfere with pedestrians. 1 meter

Slide 5

The rules also state that it is allowed to transport children on a bicycle: if the child is less than 7 years old; in the case of an additional special seat equipped with reliable footrests.

Slide 6

It is prohibited to: Drive if the brake system or steering is faulty. Carry a load that protrudes beyond the dimensions of the bicycle and interferes with control by more than 0.5 m. Ride without holding the steering wheel with at least one hand.

Slide 7

It is prohibited to tow a bicycle, except by towing a trailer. It is prohibited to turn left or turn around on roads with tramway traffic and on roads with more than one lane for traffic in this direction; It is forbidden to ride on the main road if there is a cycle path nearby.

Slide 8

If the bike breaks down, you need to drive it along the road, going in the same direction of traffic. At an unregulated intersection of a cycle lane with a road (if this intersection is not at an intersection), cyclists must give way to vehicles traveling on this road.

Slide 9

The prescription for cycling groups states that columns of cyclists when driving on the carriageway must be divided into groups of 10 cyclists. The distance between groups should be 80-100 meters. 10 cyclists

Slide 10

Traffic signs All signs are more or less important warning signs for cyclists, so you need to know them. Most warning signs are in the shape of an equilateral triangle with a red border and a white or yellow background.

Slide 11

Of the prohibitory signs (most of them are a circle with a red border and a white or yellow background), one is specifically addressed to cyclists: sign 3.9 "Bicycles prohibited" In addition to this sign, you should also pay attention to: sign 3.1 "No entry"

Slide 12

Sign 3.17.2 "Danger" Sign 3.18.1 "Turning to the right is prohibited" Sign 3.18.2 "Turning to the left is prohibited"

Slide 13

Sign 3.31 "End of the zone of all restrictions" Sign 3.2 "No traffic"

Slide 14

Mandatory signs are important for the cyclist, but especially sign 4.5 "Cycle path". This is the second sign addressed specifically to cyclists. Only bicycles and mopeds are allowed on the cycle path, and if there is no sidewalk or footpath, then pedestrians.

Slide 15

Information and direction signs are related to cyclists almost all. Some service marks refer to road transport. The rest are relevant for cyclists as well.

Slide 16

Cyclist signals A cyclist intending to turn or stop must give certain signals: a left hand extended to the side corresponds to a left turn signal; a right hand extended to the side corresponds to a right turn signal, (or left hand bent at the elbow upwards)

Slide 17

Cyclist signals The rules allow when turning to raise the arm opposite to the direction of the turn, bent at the elbow at a right angle upward, but in order for your gestures to be understood unambiguously, it is recommended to extend the arm in the direction of the turn, since the cyclist generally does not care which arm to break from the steering wheel.

ROAD RULES FOR CYCLES

The word "bicycle" means "swift" - a very popular means of transportation for children. Bicycle - a simple and convenient car. Some children, without really studying the car, rush out into the streets and find themselves in a difficult environment. Therefore, before entering the road, the cyclist must study the bike well, learn how to drive it and perfectly learn and know the rules of the road.

  • - children can ride a bike only in closed areas: in yards, parks and stadiums;
  • - only children are allowed to ride on sidewalks on children's bicycles under the supervision of adults;
  • - the technical condition of the bike must be checked daily;
  • - if you need to cross the road, get off the bike, holding it by the handlebars, walk along the pedestrian crossing.
  • - the cyclist, moving along the street, signals with his hands. Before braking, you need to raise your hand up;
  • - when going on a bike ride, inform the elders about the proposed route. Then you can count on quick help in case of bike repair.

  • - Before the age of 14, you must not ride a bicycle on roads and streets.
  • - arrange races on the road.
  • - movement of student cyclists at night.
  • - carry items or cargo that may interfere with control.
  • - is strictly prohibited - cling to passing vehicles and ride a bicycle with one hand on the steering wheel or without hands.

Remember!

A sign in a blue circle -

"Cycling is permitted."

sign in a red circle -

"Cycling is prohibited."

Output: Guys, remember! A bicycle is a convenient and very common form of transport for movement. But it is also a dangerous form of transport if you do not follow the safety culture on the road.

Everyone should know this necessarily for five! Important road signs - Compass for adults and children. Children! Be careful! Know what is not allowed, what is possible! Do whatever the signs say!

KOGOBU SHI HVZ settlement of Svetlopolyansk, Verkhnekamsk district of the Kirov region Author of the presentation: teacher of health and safety KOGOBU SHI HVZ settlement of Svetlopolyansk Shilohvostova Luciya Komilevna Nowadays, residents of many countries use the services of a bicycle, preferring it over a car. The cyclist must know and follow the requirements of the rules relating to him, so I recommend that all cycling enthusiasts study this material on this topic. In addition, even if you do not have a bicycle, you also need to study the rules of a cyclist on the road so that in the event of an accident involving a bicycle driver, you can immediately identify the violation of the rules and clearly indicate this to the traffic police officer. What is a bicycle? A bicycle is a vehicle, other than wheelchairs, which has at least two wheels and is propelled, as a rule, by the muscular energy of the persons on this vehicle. Rules for cyclists For cyclists, the same rules apply as for other vehicles, because if you get behind the wheel of a bicycle you are no longer a pedestrian, but a driver. Besides, there are some additional rules for cyclists. One of the most important! - traffic regulations stipulate that the minimum age for driving a bicycle on public roads must be 14 full years. Cycling is permitted ... On a cycle path or a combined path. Combined paths are for pedestrians, cyclists and sometimes mopeds. In the absence of a cycle path or a combined path, the cyclist must move on the right side of the road along the side of the road or along the right side of the road. Children under 12 can also cycle on the sidewalk. Combined paths The bike path and the footpath are separated The bicycle path and the footpath are combined It is prohibited to: Ride if the brake system or steering is faulty Carry a load that protrudes beyond the dimensions of the bicycle, interfering with control, by more than 0.5 m.Ride without holding the steering wheel although with one hand. Prohibited!!! The following road signs prohibit cycling: Riding a bicycle on a motorway Pedestrian, bicycle and moped traffic prohibited Bicycles and moped traffic prohibited All vehicles prohibited Traffic prohibited Passing intersections: When driving through intersections, be especially careful. For cyclists, the same intersection rules apply as for motorists. Remember to show the direction of the turn with your hand before turning. Basic rules for crossing intersections: When a cyclist moves along the carriageway with other vehicles, he must let vehicles approaching the intersection on the right. A turning vehicle, including a cyclist, must allow cyclists and pedestrians moving along the road to be crossed. The road to cross is the road the vehicle is turning onto. A cyclist leaving the bike lane on the road must let all vehicles pass. Vehicles will only let the cyclist pass if they are instructed to do so by the “give way” or “STOP” signs or if they turn onto the road that the cyclist crosses. Signs "give way" and "STOP" instruct all vehicles, including cyclists, to pass all moving vehicles both on the right and on the left. Here are the most common situations on the road: A turning vehicle (in this case, a car) must let a cyclist riding on the road to cross. At an equivalent intersection, the cyclist must let vehicles approach the intersection on the right. A cyclist moving in the direction of the action of the sign must pass vehicles on both the left and right. The “STOP” sign also prescribes a mandatory stop. The cyclist leaving the bike lane on the carriageway must let the others pass. Passing and crossing a pedestrian crossing If there is a pedestrian crossing at the intersection of a cycle path or a combined path with an ordinary road, then the cyclist must cross the road at the pedestrian crossing, keeping the bike next to him. The cycle path does not give the cyclist priority - he must obey the rules for driving at intersections. The cyclist is also subject to road signs installed at the intersection, such as "give way" and "STOP". Bus Stops Reduce your speed when approaching a bus stop. The cyclist must make way for passengers getting off and on the bus. Level crossing Traffic lights and barriers at level crossings also apply to cyclists. You must not drive through the level crossing if the red light is on and the barrier is closed. It is not recommended to cross the track outside the level crossing. Traffic lights for cyclists The cyclist must obey traffic lights. When turning, the cyclist must let pedestrians pass at the pedestrian crossing. Some cyclist intersections have separate traffic lights. In this case, the cyclist must obey traffic signals for cyclists. Let's talk about safety: before going on a bike ride, you need to put on and check: Carrying people and goods on a bike The bike is designed to carry one person. To transport a child, you must have a suitable seat with reliable leg protection. To transport infants, you must have a special safety seat. Bags and weights should be placed on the bike so that it is easy to maintain balance. Movement is a joint activity! Move as fast as you can to master the controls in all situations. Slow down in front of intersections. Sudden maneuvers are dangerous. Do not drive suddenly onto a road or around the corner of a building or do any other unexpected action. Show turn signals with your hands when you are about to turn. Warn other cyclists or pedestrians by calling if necessary. Movement in groups The rule for cycling groups is that columns of cyclists when moving on the carriageway must be divided into groups of 10 cyclists. The distance between groups should be 80-100 meters. Flickers for cyclists Make sure that you are visible to motorists and other road users. Headlight and reflectors on all sides are essential when driving in the dark. Be careful! Observe the traffic regulations when cycling!
