How the adidas Skibase ski base in Meshchersky Park is arranged. Alpine skiing in the Olympic village Alpine skiing Olympic village

After running in Moscow became fashionable, the question of summer sports leisure has been resolved. But at minus 20, the call to lace up the sneakers at normal person causes only the reflex to twist the finger at the temple. Finding a worthy winter replacement for summer jogging is also difficult because this is a budget activity that does not require complex ammunition, and sleepy Moscow parks in the morning are wonderful and public areas.

In Moscow, people love ice skating, but this activity is more associated with mulled wine than with sports. Remains only cross-country skiing, because you can ride them almost everywhere where there is snow. Problems are only in their reputation: when thinking about not mountain, but ordinary skiing, the majority pops up with a memory of breathless schoolchildren who are tormented by a physical education instructor near a pond. It seems to be a joyful activity - frost, skiing, a hat with a pom-pom - but for some reason it does not work out to roll.

The adidas company undertook to reform the reputation of skis. They realized that cross-country skiing is the most suitable sport for our latitudes, just complicated in technically... To get rid of associations with the school, lean grandfathers near Moscow and irony in the spirit of the Pep-See group, adidas laid the concept of a base at the core of its ski promotion campaign. The collection point before and after skiing is also important in ski world - a whole après-ski culture has developed in European resorts with its own style of clothing and secular pastime. Cross-country skiing is much more affordable than mountain skiing, therefore, the requirements for the base are much easier. To be fed with hot tea and fed with soup. To have a friendly coach help with the basics. Well, after the skiing - socializing with a DJ.

What to take with you

Wear warm, comfortable clothing that does not hinder your movements - and preferably with a water-repellent layer. Mannequins dressed in adidas ski suits stand right at the base, but they are not sold or rented here. But there is an interactive display with tips on how best to equip and ski. Well, since adidas Skibase is still a showcase of a sports brand, there is a monitor with its catalog right there - you can order clothes right from here.

A place

The structures of Roman Abramovich are related to Meshchersky Park, and, like everything they are related to, from the Garage Museum to New Holland in St. Petersburg, it is beautiful. In summer, according to Wikipedia, there are honeysuckle, warty euonymus, lungwort, zelenchuk, clefthoof, as well as runners. And in winter, until recently, only residents of the nearby village of Peredelkino could be found in Meshchersky Park on skis.

Now adidas Skibase is here. The building was based on the building of the former sports equipment rental. The design was created with an eye to high-altitude chalets. The result is a wooden one-story house illuminated by warm light with high windows at the very entrance to the park. In the lobby, armchairs, a healthy touchscreen with a choice of ski uniforms, a vending machine with snacks, changing rooms with drawers were installed (for 200 rubles, you can change clothes and leave things or valuables here in the administrator's safe).

Fischer skis, poles and bindings are also issued here, as well as flashlights for the forehead - for evening workouts. All this is issued free of charge to those who signed up for classes in exchange for a deposit of 5,000 rubles, a student card or a driver's license. After training, everyone who rented a box and / or skis can have tea and cookies at the reception for free. On days when events are held here, DJs are invited to the base, they are treated to decent food and mulled wine - again, they don’t take money for all this. It is convenient to follow the announcements of events in facebook base.

Workouts

Ski routes with distances of 2, 6.4 and 10 km diverge from the adidas Skibase lodge. Groups of up to 20 people, led by cheerful coaches, walk along them - there is an option for beginners, there is for those who regularly attended physical education classes in school years... All instructors come from the Russian Ski Federation or are professionals with appropriate coaching certificates, who, unlike your physical education instructor, are distinguished by a sympathetic attitude towards their wards. When the author of this text was half a kilometer behind, entangled in skis and poles, the coach came back to help me, giving me some practical advice on skating technique.

The cost of classes is graduated depending on the size of the group and the qualifications of the athlete. Introductory trainings for beginners, which you can attend until you master the basic principles, are free (up to 20 people in a group, duration - 1 hour), group training costs 600 rubles (up to 12 people in a group, duration - 1.5 hours), mini-group - 1600 rubles per person (2-4 people, duration - 1.5 hours), individual - 2600 rubles (duration 1.5 hours).

To sign up, you need to register at or call the base. Please note that the entrance there is carried out using the adidas universe card - it can be issued in the company's stores or received on the spot.

“We set ourselves the task of reviving the trend for cross-country skiing. In the USSR, it was a popular sport, and in Russia, the popularity of skiing declined, because in schools they were forced to ski and generally taught this sport to children incorrectly, which discouraged many from any desire. Traditionally, it is considered that this is a difficult sport: you put a lot of effort - get ready, go somewhere on the train, then you have an hour's training, and again shake home on the train. We wanted to recreate the atmosphere of a high-mountain resort with a cozy atmosphere - a little in the spirit of the video for George Michael's song “Last Christmas”. To make it convenient to change clothes, there was a place to eat and warm up after class, to listen to music. All January holidays we had parties with food and DJs, and I noticed that every visitor spent at least an hour at the base after skiing. We count on amateurs or even beginners: you can rent boots and skis here, if you don't have your own, - many people skiing frightened off by the need to buy ammunition. "

There is a lot of talk about the need to come up with a new identity for Russia - not only in the tourist version with accordion and bears, but also such that it would be suitable for the domestic market. And the fact that the Russians themselves associate cross-country skiing more with the Scandinavian countries seems to be an unfortunate mistake. It is clear that the relevant ministries and departments should fix the situation, but the opening of adidas Skibase is a small and wildly important step along this path.

You can get to Meshchersky Park by bus from Filevsky Park metro station to Meshchersky Prud stop and by train from Kievsky railway station to Skolkovo platform. By car, you must drive along the inner side of the Moscow Ring Road before turning onto Ryabinovaya Street. Entrance to the base from the side of Meshchersky pond.

Kamchatka is one of the most beautiful and interesting regions of Russia, but many travelers doubt whether this trip will meet their expectations. We share with you the most common stereotypes about Kamchatka.

  1. A trip to Kamchatka is only for the rich

Of course, this is by no means a cheap vacation destination, but its price is quite comparable to travel to Europe. If we talk about active foreign analogous tours, then it is worth comparing prices for Kamchatka travel with tours to Iceland, Costa Rica, Venezuela, South Africa, etc. However, you may be in luck with special deals airfare. They can be purchased for 20 thousand, if you take care of the purchase in advance.

  1. The Valley of Geysers was destroyed by a landslide

This is a very common stereotype, despite the fact that the Valley of Geysers is still one of the most visited places in Kamchatka. In addition, do not forget that Kamchatka is not only the Valley of Geysers, but also a large number of various, completely unique volcanoes, boat trips and thermal springs.

  1. Active rest in Kamchatka is suitable only for experienced tourists

In reality, even ascents to volcanoes are made by everyone: adults, children and elderly people. In addition, you always have the opportunity to choose programs that exclude overnight stays in the field and long transitions. They are suitable for those who are not ready to give up the benefits of civilization.

  1. It is dangerous to rest in Kamchatka

To begin with, it should be noted that today the Kamchatka Territory has the lowest crime rate, at least among all regions of the Far East. All tourist programs they include medical insurance in the price (even with helicopter evacuation from hard-to-reach places), equipment for active tours is constantly updated, guides and instructors are re-certified annually. Therefore, do not be afraid: a trip to Kamchatka is no more dangerous journey than a fishing trip in the Moscow region.

  1. Unpredictable weather can ruin the whole trip

Of course, there is a certain "weather" factor, but do not despair. When developing tours, the sequence of conducting certain excursions or activities may vary in accordance with weather conditions.
