Interregional Multidisciplinary Olympiad of Schoolchildren "Mendeleev"
Interregional multidisciplinary Olympiad Schoolchildren of Mendeleev (hereinafter - the Olympiad) was founded in 2010 in honor of the world famous scientist Dmitry Ivanovich Mendeleev. Its founders are the Council of Rectors of Universities of the Tyumen Region, the Department of Education and Science of the Tyumen Region and the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Tyumen Region. The Olympiad takes place at the sites of leading universities of the Tyumen region, including branches located in different subjects of the federation.
Olympiad on law (social studies) "The best right" is carried out together with the "Full Law" LLC Consultant + (position).
The Olympics passes in two stages. The first (qualifying) stage is carried out in remote form through the official Internet portal of the Olympiad, it is making a large number of schoolchildren to take part in it, including from the hard-to-reach areas of the Far North of the Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Districts. The tasks of the second (final) stage of the Olympics have a creative orientation and contribute to the identification of exclusive and non-standard abilities of schoolchildren. The tasks of the Olympiad are formed by profiles focused on identifying citizens most prepared for the development of higher professional education programs.
The holding of the Olympics for three years allowed to show their knowledge and skills to schoolchildren from 22 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which gives all prerequisites for expanding the territory of the Olympiad in case of its inclusion in the list of schoolchildren's olympics, annually approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
During the organization of the Olympiad, more than 10,000 schoolchildren took part in it, 30% of which live in rural areas. More than 300 people were winners and winners who were awarded valuable prizes.
The Olympiad Organizing Committee includes the University Rector of the Tyumen Region, Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Tyumen Region, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Tyumen Region.
The Olympics emblem is a boomeranga flight mechanic. Boomerang is an original weapon - the very first perfect work of man's technique, for a long time caused the surprise of scientists. Figures described by boomerang in the air are able to pose everyone. Boomerang is well known for its property to return back, to the place from which a throw was produced.
The Mendeleev Olympiad is a kind of boomerang who can run every schoolchild, accepting participation in it and get the result depending on the right "launch".
The International Mendeleevskaya Olympiad of Schoolchildren in Chemistry occupies a unique position in the high-level subject olelpatic system. The chemicals were the only among natural studies who managed to preserve the traditions of the former All-Union Olympiad, which after the collapse of the USSR is held annually, but in two directions: the All-Russian Schoolchildren Olympiad in Chemistry and the International Mendeleev Olympiad. The geography of the Mendeleev Olympiad and the dynamics of the growth of its participants in recent years is presented in the table.

The main working language of the Olympiad is Russian, however, at the request of the participants, they are invited to tasks of the Olympiad (and then - solutions to them) on english language. If necessary, team leaders have the opportunity on the eve of each round of the Olympics to transfer tasks to the National Language.
The Olympiad consists of three rounds: the first theoretical tour (8 mandatory tasks, each of which is estimated to the maximum of 10 points), the second theoretical tour (5 tasks of 15 for the choice of participants, the maximum assessment for the task is 15 points) and the experimental tour (evaluated in 75 points). The tasks of the first round of complexity correspond to the program of specialized chemical classes, the tasks of a slight higher level are offered on the second round. The tasks of the second round are divided into five sections: inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry and live sciences (3 tasks in each section). Olympiad participants must perform 5 tasks, according to one of each section, demonstrating the versatility of their preparation. An experimental tour of the Olympiad lasts 5 hours, it implies the presence of work skills in the chemical laboratory: the ability to perform chemical analysis of substances and conduct synthesis on the proposed method. In just three rounds of the Olympiad, the participant can score a maximum of 230 points. Unlike the World Chemical Olympics, the circle of sections of chemistry is not narrowed by the preliminary publication of the task training kit.
